First ETA approval for screws ever more important

The fischer range of timber screws sets new standards in woodwork. Thanks to the new ETA Approval, the fischer screws now deliver even more convenience, safety and service.
The fischer timber screw with sectional thread has been designed for use in structural timber construction. Users appreciate its convenient and virtually effortless setting method which is due to the special shape of the thread and the cutting edge and which ensures optimum transfer of forces. The range includes countersunk and pin-feather head screws, zinc-plated and yellow passivated with internal X slots (TX). The screws are suitable for connecting construction elements in post-and-beam timer constructions, timber-framed constructions, wooden houses, car ports, winter gardens and playground facilities. Both the pin-feather head screws and the countersunk screws used in connection with the special funnel-shaped washers feature high head traction values.
The screws developed by fischer have been designed for clean, safe and convenient installation. After the DIBt Approval, the first ETA Approval granted in May 2011 for the fischer timber construction and chipboard screws now guarantees ultimate quality and performance standards. The ETA Approval specifies the setting and production of chipboard screws used as timber fasteners and applies for fischer timber and chipboard screws with diameters ranging from 3.0 mm to 10.0 mm. For the first time, the ETA Approval also specifies the fastening of top-roof and facade insulation systems, each taking account of counter laths and counter boards. Another important item is the user notice that screw connections are now regulated for holes predrilled with core diameters. Also, the timber constructions screws have even higher load-bearing capacities, saving the user material, effort, time and money.
